The Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its thermal zone following significant renovations, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova. Atanasova confirmed that the facility underwent comprehensive upgrades, including the replacement of flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems across all areas. She noted a marked increase in demand for wellness services since the pandemic, a trend attracting both international and local Bulgarian guests.
In response to this heightened interest, the hotel has extended its opening hours to begin at 7 a.m. To accommodate early visitors, water aerobics classes led by an instructor have resumed, with the first sessions starting at 7:30 a.m. The saunas and fitness facilities continue to draw consistent numbers of visitors, while the relaxation area and adventure showers remain popular amenities for guests.
Atanasova attributed the growing focus on wellness to an increased public awareness regarding preventative health care. She also observed that business travelers are utilizing spa services more frequently, particularly when these services are integrated into the accommodation package. While the center features an ice fountain, its maintenance has recently been complicated by limited availability of flake ice generators.
Broader industry context shows that the focus on health tourism remains strong. BTA highlights Bulgaria’s extensive network of over 200 certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centers through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature. This initiative is linked to the major European health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in Varna, Sts.
Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena.
