The Chair of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Evelina Slavcheva, held a meeting with Algeria’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, Asma Babouche, on Friday, according to the Academy’s press service. The discussion focused on identifying avenues to strengthen scientific collaboration between Bulgaria and Algeria. During the meeting, which took place at the Academy premises, Slavcheva provided a detailed presentation on the history and organizational structure of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
In response, the Ambassador introduced the scope of activities conducted by the Algerian Academy of Science and Technology. The talks explored several potential areas for deepening bilateral ties. Specifically, participants discussed the feasibility of signing a memorandum of cooperation between the two respective academies.
Furthermore, the dialogue covered practical initiatives, including establishing programs for researcher exchanges and developing joint cultural projects. The engagement underscored a mutual commitment from both institutions to advance scholarly and cultural understanding between the two nations.
