Over 500 wines and gourmet products for tasting will be presented at the 12th Wine and Gourmet Festival in Plovdiv from May 8 to 10, the organizers from the Tourism Council Association said on Monday. The festival will bring together more than 70 winemakers and culinary experts, which is a 20% growth compared to 2025, the association emphasized. Traditionally, the festival will begin with a Dionysian Procession, which will pass through the city centre and will be accompanied by the Trakia folk ensemble from Plovdiv.
An expert jury from the Plovdiv University of Food Technology will award the Best Combination of Wine and Food. The festival will also include concerts, a souvenir shop with limited editions and a mobile courier office, which will send the purchased wine directly to the visitors’ homes. The 12th Wine and Gourmet Festival is held under the patronage of the Tourism Ministry, with the support of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The festival is financed by the annual Tourism Development programme of the Plovdiv Municipality. BTA is a media partner of the initiative. This website uses cookies.
