During the session, the Ministry of Sports reported on the current organizational progress, the coordination among involved bodies, and key forthcoming activities. Minister Iliev reviewed the readiness of all participating parties, emphasizing that effective inter-institutional coordination is crucial for the successful staging of the major event.
He expressed confidence in the collective efforts, stating that while hosting an event of this magnitude presents a significant challenge, joint action ensures steady progress toward a successful competition. Participants confirmed that preparations are advancing according to the established schedule. Discussions focused heavily on implementing robust measures concerning the safety of both athletes and spectators, alongside ensuring the optimal execution of the competition logistics.
The three-stage Giro d’Italia is scheduled to commence on May 8 in Nessebar, located on the Black Sea. The race route will subsequently pass through Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, and Plovdiv, concluding in Sofia on May 10.
