Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its renovated thermal zone, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova, speaking with BTA. Atanasova confirmed that the facility underwent comprehensive upgrades, including replacements of the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. She noted that the increased demand for wellness services is evident, with interest growing among Bulgarian guests as well as international visitors.
In response to this heightened local interest, the centre has extended its operating hours to begin at 7:00 a.m. Furthermore, water aerobics classes, guided by an instructor, have resumed, with the first sessions commencing at 7:30 a.m., drawing numerous local residents before their workday. The hotel’s saunas and fitness amenities continue to attract consistent patronage, while the relaxation area and adventure showers remain popular among the guests.
Atanasova highlighted a broader trend of increased public awareness regarding preventative health, which fuels the growing interest in wellness. She also pointed out that business travelers are increasingly utilizing spa services, particularly when these amenities are included in their hotel stay. The thermal zone at the Dimyat hotel showcases various features, including an ice fountain, whose maintenance presents current challenges.
BTA also reported on its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” feature, which catalogs over 200 certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centres across Bulgaria. This initiative, a collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is in connection with the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena, where BTA will serve as the main media partner.
