Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its renovated thermal zone, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova, who provided details to BTA. The upgrades included replacing the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, with all facilities receiving general enhancements. Atanasova noted a significant increase in demand for wellness services since the pandemic, attracting not only foreign visitors but also a growing number of Bulgarian guests.
To meet this rising local interest, the center’s operating hours have been extended to begin at 7:00 a.m. Furthermore, water aerobics classes, led by an instructor, have resumed due to high demand, with initial sessions starting at 7:30 a.m. Local residents are reportedly utilizing these services before work.
The hotel’s saunas and fitness areas continue to draw consistent patronage, and guests frequently use the relaxation area and adventure showers. Atanasova highlighted the growing public awareness regarding the value of preventative health care, which underpins the increased interest in wellness. She also observed that business travelers are increasingly engaging with spa services, particularly when these amenities are bundled with accommodation rates.
The thermal zone also features an ice fountain, though its maintenance has presented challenges recently due to limited flake ice generator production. BTA reports on Bulgaria’s certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centers in its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” feature, which covers over 200 facilities. This initiative is connected to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, a major European health tourism event scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in Varna, Sts.
Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will serve as the main media partner for the summit.
