Bulgarian Tourists Choose Ismena SPA Complex in Devin

Outdoor thermal soaking pools filled with hot mineral water represent a key feature at the Ismena SPA Complex. According to manager Polina Boneva, these pools are the first open-air mineral soaking facilities in Devin, operating year-round and attracting significant visitor interest. The resort functions as a four-season destination, blending modern architecture with traditional Rhodope Revival styling.

The facility utilizes healing mineral water sourced from the Bedenski spring for its various treatments. The Ismena complex draws a diverse clientele, with many Bulgarian tourists seeking the tranquility of the Rhodope Mountains and the restorative properties of the mineral waters. International visitors primarily originate from Germany, Israel, Russia, and the United Kingdom.

Guests frequently utilize water-based therapies for recovery and relaxation. The mineral water’s alkaline nature is noted for its ability to cleanse the skin, stimulate regeneration, and support detoxification. Treatments and immersion in the water are particularly recommended for individuals with sedentary occupations or past injuries, as the heat and mineral composition help relax muscles and improve mobility without straining the heart.

Spanning 17 decares, the entire complex includes hotel accommodations, guest houses, and landscaped park areas. The extensive spa center features both indoor and outdoor pools, alongside amenities such as a sauna, steam bath, Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, and aromatic baths. Beyond the hot soaking pools, guests can engage in contrast therapy using a 5°C shock pool, which enhances circulation following a sauna session.

The spa menu also offers diverse rejuvenation options, including volcanic stone massage and restorative magnesium treatments.
