Lucky Bansko Aparthotel SPA & Relax recently received two awards for 2026 in the category of retreat tourism, according to the resort. The accolades were presented at the Spring Travel Soare forum, organized by Travel & LifeStyle Magazine with support from the Tourism Ministry. These awards include recognition among the top 50 best retreat destinations and first place for the best retreat destination in Bulgaria for 2026.
The resort’s spa center is described as a next-generation facility focusing on holistic recovery and personalized guest care. According to the complex’s executive director, Assoc. Prof.
Asya Pandzherova, the detox programs incorporate treatments such as hydro-massage baths with therapeutic extracts, hammam rituals, Rasul therapies utilizing mineral mud and clay, and water bed applications with healing ingredients. The facility features a comprehensive water zone, which includes bio-pools with underwater music, a Dead Sea salt pool, a jacuzzi, and hydro-massage amenities. During the summer, two outdoor pools are available for both children and adults.
For wellness, the thermal zone offers a Finnish and infrared sauna, a steam bath, and a salt room for halotherapy. An innovative service is the cryosauna, exposing the body to temperatures as low as minus 160 degrees Celsius to stimulate recovery and vitality. The spa also provides hydrocolon therapy administered by medical specialists, alongside various facial and body treatments, including massages and anti-aging programs.
For younger guests, specially adapted facilities are available, such as a heated pool purified by ultrasound and electrolysis. The spa center remains a core offering at the Bansko location, providing comprehensive weight loss, detox, and anti-stress programs.
