Folk Dance Ensemble SamoDivi to Perform in Munich

The Innsbruck-based folk dance group, SamoDivi, is scheduled to participate in the 11th edition of the traveling festival, Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance. This event will take place at the BMW Park in Munich from May 15th to May 17th. In their third consecutive appearance, the SamoDivi ensemble will present their routine, “Zaludo Libe Kitka ne Davaydance,” aiming to convey the “sincere, vibrant emotion” that unites them regardless of their location.

The group’s team reported that preparations are advancing with enthusiasm and dedication, involving twice-weekly rehearsals and detailed costume preparations. SamoDivi is described as a small but cohesive ensemble composed of dancers from various generations. For the performers, folklore transcends mere performance; it represents a bond, a sense of home, and a means of maintaining connection globally.

The SamoDivi team expressed anticipation, stating they look forward to sharing this emotion on the Munich stage. The Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance festival is dedicated to amateur folklore ensembles performing outside of Bulgaria. The initiative was originally launched by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted the first edition in 2015 and the tenth in 2025.

The 11th Munich event anticipates attendance from over 100 dance ensembles and more than 4,000 guests. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) serves as the official media partner for the event and will feature all participating groups.
