Information Services reported on its comprehensive support of the recent Bulgarian early parliamentary election held on April 19. The company provided live video broadcasting and video recordings for the ballot counting process across 11,635 voting sections, representing 99.83% of all section election commissions (SECs) requiring video coverage. This number marks a record high since the implementation of video surveillance, reflecting an increase of 41 SECs compared to the previous election in October 2024.
The video surveillance platform utilized by the company experienced significant public interest, recording over 310,000 user visits following election day—a 164% increase from previous election cycles. A total of 11,493 SECs broadcast the counting process live, setting a new record for video coverage. Furthermore, Information Services confirmed that its team completed the computer processing and rechecking of tally sheets by April 21, adhering to timelines set by the Election Code.
Executive Director Ivaylo Filipov noted that the company fulfilled its commitments to the electoral process with “extremely high quality and within the deadlines.”
To enhance the electoral process, the firm deployed several technological services. The mobile application eProtocol was developed to validate data from SEC tally sheets, enabling civic oversight and significantly reducing preparation errors. Additionally, Information Services presented an interactive visualization tool detailing the methodology for calculating election results and allocating mandates.
These integrated services demonstrated the company’s robust support capabilities throughout the entire election cycle.
