The spa centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort near Varna on the Black Sea, has introduced new anti-stress programmes, according to spa manager Nikolay Popov. These services are primarily aimed at working individuals seeking mental recuperation, with the objective of mitigating chronic stress levels.
Popov noted that the fast pace of modern life often results in accumulated mental tension, which, when combined with physical inactivity, can predispose the body to degenerative processes. The facility’s offerings appeal to a wide demographic. Even young professionals are utilizing the anti-stress therapies due to the significant pressure associated with today’s competitive environments.
The management emphasizes that the programmes are designed with an individual approach to ensure continued benefit after a guest’s stay concludes. The therapeutic benefits of mineral water are highlighted, as the substance helps reduce tension by stimulating skin receptors to signal relaxation to the central nervous system. This process can result in a measurable decrease in heart rate and blood pressure.
Furthermore, since the end of 2025, Ensana Aquahouse has provided underwater kinesitherapy programmes. This service is intended for individuals recovering from surgery, joint replacement, or those managing neurodegenerative conditions or temporary mobility loss. During these sessions, a kinesitherapist actively guides and supports the patient’s movements.
In a broader industry context, BTA features certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres across Bulgaria in its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature, totaling over 200 facilities. This initiative is associated with the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna and other Bulgarian destinations.
