The spa centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in Sts. Constantine and Helena near Varna on the Black Sea, is expanding its anti-stress programmes. Spa manager Nikolay Popov noted that these services primarily cater to working individuals seeking mental recovery, aiming to mitigate chronic stress levels.
He explained that the fast pace of modern life often leads to accumulated mental tension, and when this overload is combined with a lack of physical activity, it can contribute to physical deterioration. The centre’s therapies are popular across age groups. Popov highlighted that even young professionals seek these anti-stress treatments due to the significant pressure inherent in today’s competitive environment.
The programmes are designed with an individualized approach to ensure sustained benefit beyond the guest’s stay. Furthermore, the spa offers mineral water treatments, which help reduce tension by signaling relaxation to the central nervous system, thereby lowering heart rate and blood pressure. Additionally, since the end of 2025, the facility has provided underwater kinesitherapy.
This specialized programme targets the restoration of function for individuals recovering from surgery, joint replacement, or those managing neurodegenerative conditions or temporary mobility loss. A certified kinesitherapist guides and supports the patient’s movements throughout these sessions. In a broader industry context, BTA is featuring over 200 certified spa, wellness, and medical centres in Bulgaria through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature.
This initiative is connected to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, across several Bulgarian locations.
