Candidates Elected in Two Constituencies Declare Which One They Will Represent

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final decisions regarding the entry of certain members into the 52nd National Assembly. Specifically, fourteen candidates who were elected through two Multi-Member Constituencies (MMCs) have now declared their preferred list from which they will take their seat. The CEC confirmed these declarations during a meeting on Friday, following an initial announcement on Thursday that covered 13 such individuals.

The inclusion of the fourteenth candidate, Katya Paneva, finalized the list of those needing to choose their constituency of entry. The declarations involve shifts across several constituencies. For instance, Alexander Georgiev Pulev opted to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora rather than MMC 30 – Shumen.

Similarly, Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev chose MMC 9 – Kardzhali over MMC 24 – Sofia, while Rumen Georgiev Radev selected MMC 25 – Sofia instead of MMC 2 – Burgas. Other changes included Boyko Metodiev Borissov moving from MMC 16 – Plovdiv instead of MMC 25 – Sofia, and Tomislav Peykov Donchev selecting MMC 7 – Gabrovo over MMC 23 – Sofia. The list of 14 individuals detailed specific transfers, ensuring that each candidate indicated their single point of entry into the new legislative body.

The CEC previously detailed the distribution of seats among political parties. Authorities are expected to release the complete roster of members of the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday.
