Candidates Elected in Two Constituencies Declare Which One They Will Represent

The Central Election Commission (CEC) confirmed that fourteen candidates, who were elected in two separate Multi-Member Constituencies (MMCs), have declared their preferred constituency for entry into the 52nd National Assembly. The Deputy Chair of the CEC announced these decisions during a meeting on Friday. Previously, the CEC had stated that thirteen candidates had been elected across two MMCs.

The total count reached fourteen following a decision by Katya Paneva, who was included in this group of candidates. These fourteen individuals have now formally stated from which constituency they intend to represent themselves. The declarations detail specific shifts in representation.

For example, Alexander Georgiev Pulev opted to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora, rather than MMC 30 – Shumen. Similarly, Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev selected MMC 9 – Kardzhali over MMC 24 – Sofia. Other changes include Rumen Georgiev Radev moving from MMC 2 – Burgas to MMC 25 – Sofia, and Boyko Metodiev Borissov shifting from MMC 25 – Sofia to MMC 16 – Plovdiv.

The list of declared affiliations is extensive, covering names such as Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev (shifting from MMC 29 – Haskovo to MMC 24 – Sofia), Tomislav Peykov Donchev (moving from MMC 23 – Sofia to MMC 7 – Gabrovo), and Dimitar Ivanov Avramov (choosing MMC 15 – Pleven instead of MMC 12 – Montana).
