Nessebar Municipality has announced a comprehensive programme of events in anticipation of the Giro d’Italia 2026, which is scheduled to commence on May 8. According to the municipality’s press centre on Friday, the festivities will begin the day before. The preparatory activities on May 7 include a bazaar set up in Mesambria Square and an amateur cycling tour that will traverse the seaside town starting at 10 a.m.
The evening’s schedule features performances by various groups at the Yana Laskova National Community Centre, followed by concerts. The Old Town’s fortress walls are slated to host a performance by the trio VIVA and the rock group B.T.R. Following these musical events, the municipality has also arranged for a fireworks display.
On the day of the Giro d’Italia start, May 8, the municipality will organize a cross-country race utilizing the official race route. This planned schedule aims to engage residents and visitors leading up to the major cycling event.
