Elena Ivanova and Stefania Ivanova, known professionally as the Tornado Twins, are set to unveil a new art presentation titled Happiness Is in a Lemon. The opening of this latest exhibition is scheduled for April 28th at 6 p.m. at the Anel Museum-Gallery, according to the artists.
The exhibition is curated by Prof. Velislav Minekov. The artistic practice of the twins centers on painting, a medium through which they aim to convey positive emotion.
In a statement regarding their work, the artists expressed that the primary goal of their art is to bring joy to the viewer, suggesting that a smile remains one of life’s most valuable elements. Both graduates of the National Academy of Art, the sisters employ a unique collaborative technique. They create their pieces by painting simultaneously on a single canvas—one sister using her left hand while the other uses her right.
They view this method not merely as a technique, but as a natural process where their individual efforts complement one another to construct a shared visual world. The twins explained that this joint approach is central to the narrative they wish to share with the public through this exhibition.
