Two of President Iotova’s Armenia Visit for European Political Community Summit

Bulgarian President Iliana Iotova is continuing her visit to Armenia for the Eighth Summit of the European Political Community, commencing in Yerevan on Monday, according to the President’s press secretariat. During the summit, President Iotova is scheduled to participate in a high-level event addressing the impact of the Vertical Gas Corridor on regional energy security. This corridor represents a strategic European initiative designed to enhance energy security and diversify natural gas supplies across Southeastern, Eastern, and Central Europe.

In her address at the forum, Iotova plans to emphasize the critical role of transport and energy connectivity throughout Europe. The schedule also includes her participation in an event titled “European Coalition Against Drugs.” On the sidelines of the main forum, she is set to meet with Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas. The Summit is co-chaired by European Council President Antonio Costa and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

On Sunday, President Iotova and Armenian counterpart Vahagn Khachaturyan signed a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Bulgaria and Armenia.
