The DianaMar Balneo Hotel in Pavel Banya is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation of its spa centre, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The upgrades are set to incorporate a new ice room alongside the existing salt rooms, steam baths, and saunas. Paunov noted that DianaMar functions as an extension of the Avicenna Medical Centre’s activities in the area.
The facility was notable for offering high-level balneological services in the south-central town approximately ten years ago. The design and development of the complex draw inspiration from established European balneological resorts, including Baden-Baden, Spa, Vichy, and Karlovy Vary. The team guiding the operations comprises specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine, coordinated by Dr.
Miroslav Minev. All procedures adhere strictly to medical standards and utilize specialized equipment. DianaMar offers advanced therapies such as hyperbaric oxygenation, cryotherapy, focused high-intensity EMSELLA therapy, and focused shockwave therapy (FSWT).
These methods are utilized for treating medical conditions and supporting the preparation and recovery of active athletes, aiming for enhanced efficacy and reduced recovery times. The core focus remains on balneotherapy, capitalizing on the mineral-rich water composition of Pavel Banya, which is beneficial for musculoskeletal disorders, supplemented by kinesitherapy and general spa services. The 80-room hotel maintains high occupancy rates, attracting guests from Bulgaria as well as Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Switzerland, Austria, Belarus, and Ukraine.
