Regarding the Giro itself, the coach noted its deep cultural significance in Italy, stating that it is viewed as one of the nation’s most important sporting events globally. He mentioned that the iconic pink jersey and the history involving cycling legends are deeply ingrained in the national memory. Blengini also discussed his personal fitness routine, noting that he has increased his cycling frequency to maintain fitness due to limitations in running.
As the Bulgarian squad trains in Samokov, the town is slated to be on the route during the third stage on May 10. The coach anticipates that the team and he will have the chance to observe the professional cyclists passing through.
