During the congress, the minister held a working meeting with Omer Sayan, the Deputy Transport and Infrastructure Minister of Turkiye.
The discussion centered on methods to advance infrastructure cooperation between Bulgaria and Turkiye. Both parties expressed a mutual commitment to deepening their partnership to boost transport capacity and connectivity along the vital north-south axis, specifically mentioning the potential development through the Black Sea Motorway. Furthermore, Naydenov met with Mehmet Cahit Turhan, CEO of the entity responsible for building and operating the Northern Marmara Motorway.
This motorway, which utilizes ITS technologies, features the recently completed Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, recognized as one of the world’s tallest bridges. The delegation from Turkiye indicated its readiness to share extensive experience regarding the construction and management of such large-scale infrastructure projects.
