Election Commission: With 87.23% of Tally Sheets Processed, Progressive Bulgaria Leads with 44.6%, Second Is CC-DB with 13.5%

The Central Election Commission (CEC) released preliminary results from the parliamentary election held on April 19. These initial findings are based on the processing of 87.23% of the tally sheets by the section election commissions at the constituency level, as reported at 9 a.m. on Monday.

According to the Election Code, the CEC is mandated to announce the total votes received and the distribution of seats among political parties and coalitions within four days following the election date. Furthermore, the names of the elected Members of Parliament must be officially published no later than seven days after the election. These proceedings marked the eighth parliamentary election in Bulgaria since 2021.

The preliminary release of data from the election commission signals the ongoing tabulation process.
