The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced preliminary results today stemming from the parliamentary election held on April 19. The initial data release, provided as of 10:00 am on Monday, incorporates the processing of 91.68% of the total tally sheets compiled by section election commissions and subsequently reviewed by the constituency election commissions. The announcement also identified the political parties and coalitions that successfully met the mandated 4% electoral threshold.

Under the provisions of the Election Code, the CEC is legally required to announce the final distribution of votes and the allocation of seats among the various parties and coalitions no later than four days following the election date. Furthermore, the official names of the elected Members of Parliament must be published within seven days of the voting day. This electoral cycle represents the eighth parliamentary election in Bulgaria since 2021.

The preliminary figures provide an early assessment of the results, while the CEC continues its methodical process of aggregating data from all polling stations. The ongoing work of the various commission levels is critical to establishing the definitive outcome of the election.
