Gurov specifically targeted the Sofia City Prosecution Office, naming prosecutor Emiliya Rusinova—who is associated with Petyo “The Euro” Petrov and the caretaker government’s prosecutor—as the locus of the alleged “vendetta.” He issued a direct warning to various political groups regarding Kandev’s position within the Interior Ministry, asserting that the public and the government are not intimidated. Dechev also mentioned that, according to the Interior Ministry, Rusinova reportedly crossed the border multiple times on trips accompanied by several individuals, occasionally including Petrov.
