The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the Bulgarian Employers’ Association Innovative Technologies (BRAIT) have formalized a long-term cooperation agreement designed to enhance collaboration across information sharing, technological innovation, and media development within Bulgaria. The partnership was established in Sofia, following the signing ceremony between BTA Director General Kirill Valchev and BRAIT Chair Iliya Krastev. A core component of this alliance is BRAIT’s commitment to supporting BTA’s new, technologically advanced initiative: the “BTA Institute.” This institute is specifically focused on integrating artificial intelligence tools into the daily operations of the newsroom, marking a significant step toward modernizing journalistic practices.
Furthermore, the agreement outlines tangible support for BTA’s physical and administrative development. BRAIT has agreed to provide advisory services for the renovation of BTA’s “World of News – Sofia” facility and will also assist the agency with complex public procurement processes. This strategic partnership underscores BTA’s broader objective to strengthen its ties with key industry stakeholders.
By collaborating with BRAIT, the Bulgarian News Agency aims to improve the quality and flow of verified, multimedia content distributed to the national media landscape. The collaboration positions the organizations to drive more innovative solutions, ensuring that Bulgarian journalism remains equipped for the evolving digital information environment.
