President Iliana Iotova will present the grand prize at the 20th annual Investor of the Year competition, hosted by the InvestBulgaria Agency, according to the head of state’s press secretariat. The awards are designed to acknowledge companies and investment projects that contribute significantly to Bulgaria’s economic advancement. Recognition is given for activities that foster job creation, introduce innovation, and support the sustainable growth of the Bulgarian economy.
Five Golden Bull statuettes, crafted by sculptor Seyfetin Shekerov, will be presented across five distinct categories: Investor of 2025 (overall assessment), Greenfield Investment, Business Expansion Investment, Innovative Business Investment, and Human Capital Investment. Beyond these main accolades, the Bulgarian Investment Agency will also confer special honorary awards—Agency plaques. These plaques recognize outstanding contributions to the nation’s economic development and investment environment in areas such as Investment with High Contribution to Regional Development, Successful Startup, Municipality in Bulgaria with the Most Investments, Sustainable Business, Low-Carbon Investment, and Innovative Product.
The ceremony, scheduled for 6 pm at the Hyatt Regency Sofia, is expected to draw representatives from the executive branch, the business community, employers’ organizations, and various bilateral chambers of commerce and industry. President Iotova’s participation underscores the importance of the recognition event for the Bulgarian investment sector.
