Fuel prices in Bulgaria continued to increase throughout April, with data from the Sofia-based platform Fuelo indicating notable rises across various fuel types. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) experienced the most significant percentage increase during the month. Regarding gasoline, the widely used A95 petrol saw a rise of EUR 0.03 per litre, equating to a 2.04% increase.
Its price moved from EUR 1.47/l on April 1 to its current level of EUR 1.50, suggesting a trend toward stabilization. Premium A98 petrol also showed an upward trend, increasing by EUR 0.02/l, or 1.18%, over the month. Its price rose from EUR 1.69/l at the start of April to EUR 1.71/l.
Diesel fuel recorded a more substantial increase, rising by EUR 0.11/l, or 6.55%. Its price increased from EUR 1.68 to EUR 1.79 during April. The largest percentage gain was noted in LPG, whose price increased by EUR 0.09/l, or 12.33%, from EUR 0.73 on April 1 to EUR 0.82 currently.
Additionally, methane (compressed natural gas) saw a price increase of EUR 0.06 per kilogramme, representing a 5.26% rise. Its price advanced from EUR 1.15/kg at the beginning of the month to EUR 1.20/kg by April 30. These figures reflect the varied fluctuations in fuel prices throughout April in Bulgarian markets.
