Support 26-1 Military Exercise to Take Place from April 27 to 30

The Bulgarian military is scheduled to host several significant logistical movements and training activities in the coming weeks. From April 27 to April 30, the Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise will take place at the Todorovo training ground. The focus of this exercise is the deployment of a convoy support centre designed to facilitate the movement of allied forces within the country.

According to the Defence Ministry press service, personnel and equipment from military units based in Sofia and Lovech are expected to participate, with up to 200 military personnel and 50 pieces of equipment anticipated. In preparation for the training, movement of personnel and military equipment is planned for April 27 and 30, transporting resources via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven in North Central Bulgaria. Furthermore, the region will see activity related to international participation.

On April 27 and 28, personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces will be transported via the national road network to participate in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece. Their return through Bulgaria is scheduled for May 16 and 17. Additionally, between April 28 and May 1, rail convoys belonging to the Swedish armed forces are scheduled to pass through the country.

These coordinated movements underscore the ongoing readiness and logistical support capabilities of the national military infrastructure.
