41st Flora Burgas Exhibition to Open on May 1 Dedicated to Giro d’Italia

The 41st Flora Burgas flower exhibition is scheduled to open on May 1, with the event adopting a theme dedicated to the Giro d’Italia 2026 cycling tour, according to Miroslava Argirova, Manager of the Flora Exhibition Centre. Speaking to BTA on Thursday, Argirova highlighted the enhanced scope of this year’s event. She noted that the traditional art installations prepared for the exhibition will be doubled in number compared to previous years.

The scale of participation is also increasing, with confirmation received from over 100 national participants, including various distributors specializing in flowers and garden equipment. Reflecting the spirit of the major sporting event, the flora exhibition will curate compositions that emphasize an active lifestyle, movement, and cycling. Argirova confirmed that thousands of plant specimens will be showcased across the dedicated trade areas.

This thematic alignment mirrors the logistical route of the cycling tour, whose inaugural stage is set to begin in Nessebar and conclude in Burgas on May 8. The upcoming exhibition promises a comprehensive display of horticulture alongside cultural and sporting inspiration. According to Argirova, the focus remains on connecting the beauty of the region’s natural flora with the energy of athletic pursuits, providing a major draw for both industry professionals and the public visiting the venue.

  1. I look forward to seeing how they incorporate the cycling theme into the floral displays this year.
