The 41st Flora Burgas flower exhibition is scheduled to open on May 1, with a thematic focus dedicated to the Giro d’Italia 2026 cycling tour, according to Miroslava Argirova, Manager of the Flora Exhibition Centre. During a statement provided to BTA on Thursday, Argirova highlighted the increased scale of the event this year. She announced that the number of traditional art installations prepared for the flora showcase will be doubled compared to previous years.
Furthermore, she confirmed strong participation, noting that the exhibition will host over 100 national participants, which includes numerous distributors of both flowers and garden equipment. In alignment with the spirit of the major cycling tour, the exhibition is curating compositions that emphasize an active lifestyle, movement, and the culture of cycling. This focus mirrors the first stage of the Giro d’Italia, which is slated to begin in Nessebar and conclude in Burgas on May 8.
Argirova added that the trade areas will feature the display of thousands of various plant species, providing a comprehensive showcase of the region’s horticultural industry. The event is set to serve as a significant platform for the industry, drawing attention to the intersection of nature, physical activity, and commerce. Through these themed displays, the 41st Flora Burgas event aims to connect the beauty of local flora with the energy and dynamism associated with major sporting events like the Giro d’Italia.
