The Central Election Commission (CEC) has released preliminary results from the parliamentary elections conducted on April 19. As of 6:00 AM on Monday, the provisional figures are based on an analysis of 60.79% of the total tally sheets. Under the provisions of the Election Code, the CEC is mandated to announce the total votes received and the subsequent distribution of parliamentary seats among all participating parties and coalitions no later than four days following the election day.

Furthermore, the names of the individuals elected as Members of Parliament must be officially announced within seven days of the election. These polls represent the eighth parliamentary election held in Bulgaria since 2021. The preliminary announcement provides an initial overview of the electoral outcome, utilizing data compiled from a significant portion of the available tally sheets.

The Commission’s ongoing process is focused on consolidating all reported votes to establish the final, certified results. The publication of these interim findings is a procedural step in the official declaration process governed by electoral law.
