During the session, Minister Iliev reviewed the preparedness levels of all participating bodies, emphasizing that robust inter-institutional coordination is crucial for the successful staging of the event.
He acknowledged the effort involved in hosting an event of this magnitude, stating that the joint efforts of all institutions provided confidence in moving forward with the competition. Participants confirmed that preparations are advancing according to the established timeline, with specific measures being implemented for security, logistics, and overall operational management. Discussions also covered ensuring the safety of both athletes and spectators, alongside optimizing the competition’s flow.
The itinerary for the Giro d’Italia within Bulgaria is set to commence on May 8 in Nessebar on the Black Sea. The race route will subsequently pass through Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, and Plovdiv, concluding in Sofia on May 10.
