The Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The focus of this military drill is the deployment of a convoy support centre, designed to ensure the movement of allied forces within the country. According to the Defence Ministry press service, the operation will involve up to 200 personnel and approximately 50 pieces of equipment drawn from military units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech.
In preparation for the main exercise, personnel and equipment will be transported via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven on April 27 and April 30. Beyond this domestic training, the region will host several other significant international movements. On April 27 and 28, Polish Armed Forces personnel, vehicles, and supplies are scheduled to travel via the national road network.
This movement supports their participation in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece, with their return journey planned for May 16 and 17. Furthermore, Swedish armed forces rail convoys are expected to transit through Bulgaria between April 28 and May 1. These coordinated movements highlight ongoing logistical readiness and interoperability among allied defense forces.
