Tsolov Takes Victory in F2 Sprint Race in Miami

Nikola Tsolov achieved his second F2 victory during the sprint race at the Miami Grand Prix, following a closely contested battle with Laurens van Hoepen. Tsolov currently holds the lead in the F2 standings midway through the second round of the season, maintaining a nine-point advantage over van Hoepen. The race featured a sustained duel between Tsolov of Campos and van Hoepen of Trident for the top position.

Early in the race, Tsolov’s movement into Turn 16 appeared to yield the lead to van Hoepen, but Tsolov remained in contention until Lap 10. On Lap 13, van Hoepen managed to take the lead. The competition for first place remained intense, with Tsolov and van Hoepen trading the lead for the next seven laps.

The battle culminated on the final lap, where the two drivers exchanged the lead before Tsolov ultimately retook the pole position on the final straight, securing the first F2 victory in the United States with a margin of 0.170 seconds. Alex Dunne, driving for Rodin Motorsport, joined the fight for first place late in the race but finished in third position.
