The Nessebar municipality has announced a comprehensive schedule of activities designed to coincide with the commencement of the Giro d’Italia 2026 on May 8. According to the municipality’s press center, the preparatory programme for the major cycling event begins the day prior, on May 7. The initial day’s events are set to feature a bazaar held in Mesambria Square.
Furthermore, the schedule includes an amateur cycling tour traversing the seaside area, scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. As evening approaches, the cultural programme continues with multiple performances. Local groups are scheduled to perform at the Yana Laskova National Community Centre, while the Old Town fortress walls will host professional concerts featuring the trio VIVA and the rock group B.T.R.
Following the evening’s musical events, the municipality has also arranged a fireworks display. On May 8, the day the Giro d’Italia officially begins, the municipality will organize a dedicated cross-country race that will follow the established race route. This multi-day celebration aims to engage the community while marking the start of the international cycling event.
