The Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has renovated its thermal zone, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova. She confirmed that the upgrades included replacing the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems across all facilities. Atanasova noted a significant rise in demand for wellness services since the pandemic, stating that interest is now widespread, attracting not only foreign visitors but also a growing number of local Bulgarian guests.
In response to this increased patronage, the center has extended its opening hours to begin at 7 a.m. Furthermore, water aerobics classes, led by an instructor, have resumed, with the first sessions commencing at 7:30 a.m. These classes are already drawing local residents before their workday.
The hotel’s saunas and fitness amenities continue to attract steady numbers of guests, while the relaxation area and adventure showers remain popular features. Atanasova highlighted that the increasing focus on preventative care and overall health is driving this interest in wellness. She also observed that business travelers are utilizing spa services more frequently, particularly when these services are bundled with accommodation packages.
These developments reflect a broader trend in Bulgarian health tourism. BTA reports on this sector through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” feature, which covers over 200 certified SPA, wellness, and medical centers across the country. This initiative is connected to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts.
Constantine, Golden Sands, and Albena.
