Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its thermal zone following comprehensive renovations, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova. Atanasova reported that the upgrades included replacements of the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems across all facilities. She noted a significant surge in demand for wellness services since the pandemic, observing that interest is now robust among local Bulgarian residents, not solely foreign visitors.
In response to this increased local demand, the center has extended its opening hours to begin at 7 a.m. To accommodate early risers, water aerobics classes have resumed, with the first sessions starting at 7:30 a.m. The facility continues to attract visitors to its saunas, fitness areas, and relaxation zones, which also feature adventure showers and an ice fountain.
Atanasova attributed the heightened activity to a growing public awareness regarding preventative healthcare and the overall value of wellness. Furthermore, she highlighted that business travelers are increasingly utilizing spa amenities, particularly when these services are bundled into their accommodation package at the hotel. This focus on wellness is part of a broader industry trend in Bulgaria.
BTA has compiled a feature, “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water,” showcasing over 200 certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centers nationwide. This initiative is connected to Europe’s major health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, alongside other regional destinations.
