President Iliana Iotova is scheduled to present the grand prize at the 20th edition of the InvestBulgaria Agency’s Investor of the Year competition, according to the head of state’s press secretariat. The awards aim to recognize companies and investment projects that contribute significantly to Bulgaria’s economic progress. These contributions include fostering job creation, implementing innovation, and promoting sustainable growth within the national economy.
Five Golden Bull statuettes, crafted by sculptor Seyfetin Shekerov, will be awarded across several key categories. These include Investor of 2025 (for overall assessment), Greenfield Investment, Business Expansion Investment, Innovative Business Investment, and Human Capital Investment. Beyond the primary awards, the Bulgarian Investment Agency will present special honorary Agency plaques.
These plaques recognize organizations and companies for their outstanding contributions to the country’s economic development and investment climate. Additional award categories include Investment with High Contribution to Regional Development, Successful Startup, Municipality in Bulgaria with the Most Investments, Sustainable Business, Low-Carbon Investment, and Innovative Product. The ceremony will be attended by representatives from the executive branch, the business community, employers’ organizations, and various bilateral chambers of commerce and industry.
The event is set to take place at the Hyatt Regency Sofia, commencing at 6 p.m., with President Iotova presenting the top honors.
