President Iliana Iotova is scheduled to present the grand prize at the 20th edition of the InvestBulgaria Agency’s Investor of the Year competition, according to the head of state’s press secretariat. The awards ceremony aims to recognize companies and investment projects that have significantly contributed to Bulgaria’s economic advancement. Recognition is given for fostering job creation, implementing innovation, and promoting the sustainable growth of the national economy.
The main accolades consist of five Golden Bull statuettes, designed by sculptor Seyfetin Shekerov. These awards are distributed across five key categories: Investor of 2025 (overall assessment), Greenfield Investment, Business Expansion Investment, Innovative Business Investment, and Human Capital Investment. Beyond these primary awards, the Bulgarian Investment Agency will also present special honorary plaques.
These plaques acknowledge institutions and companies that have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the country’s economic development and investment environment. Special categories include Investment with High Contribution to Regional Development, Successful Startup, Municipality in Bulgaria with the Most Investments, Sustainable Business, Low-Carbon Investment, and Innovative Product. The ceremony is expected to draw attendees from the executive branch, the broader business community, employers’ organizations, and various bilateral chambers of commerce and industry.
The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Sofia, commencing at 6:00 PM.
