Tarnovo Grand Hotel Attracts Guests with Mineralized Water at Renovated Spa Centre

The spa centre at the Grand Hotel in Tarnovo, featuring mineralized water, spans 2,000 square meters. The hotel, originally constructed between 1967 and 1981, has undergone a complete renovation, concluding in 2025. This transformation has updated the interior to a modern, elegant standard while preserving the hotel’s distinctive architecture.

The newly renovated facility is positioned as an attractive destination for congress tourism, international events, team-building activities, and individual visits. The modern spa centre is equipped with an indoor swimming pool, a children’s pool, and three aquatonic pools. According to Desislava Dzhurova, sales and reservations manager, these amenities make the hotel a desirable location for event organizers.

The spa offers diverse therapies, including classic and aroma steam baths, infrared, Finnish, and Himalayan cedar saunas, a hammam, and a salt room. Additional facilities include a spa capsule, a salt and flotation capsule, an adventure shower, a Vichy shower, and a hydromassage bathtub. Guests can also utilize five treatment rooms, a relaxation zone with heated loungers, a sunbathing beach area, and a fresh bar with a panoramic terrace.

The pool water is mineralized with salts and purified using ozone filters, ensuring the aquatonic water is gentle on the skin. The flotation capsule, noted by spa centre manager Nedko Nikolov, uses high concentrations of magnesium salts for deep relaxation and skin absorption, beneficial for muscular and joint relief. Furthermore, the hotel’s location on the banks of the Yantra River in the city centre has an approved plan to develop a pedestrian zone, an outdoor infinity pool, and a revitalized daytime bar overlooking the Asenevtsi Monument and Art Gallery in Tarnovo.
