Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its renovated thermal zone, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova, speaking to BTA. The upgrades included replacing the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, with all facilities receiving comprehensive enhancements. Atanasova noted a significant rise in demand for wellness services since the pandemic, observing that interest in these treatments is growing among Bulgarian residents, not solely foreign visitors.
She mentioned that the center’s operating hours have been extended to begin at 7 a.m. to accommodate individuals who seek relaxation before or after work. Due to high demand, instructor-led water aerobics classes have resumed, with initial sessions commencing at 7:30 a.m.
Many local residents are attending these classes before their workdays. The hotel’s saunas and fitness facilities continue to draw consistent numbers of visitors, and guests frequently utilize the relaxation area and adventure showers. The facility also features an ice fountain, whose maintenance has reportedly become difficult due to reduced flake ice generator output.
According to Atanasova, this increased interest reflects a broader public awareness regarding the value of proactive health maintenance, driving greater engagement with preventive care and wellness options. Furthermore, business travelers are increasingly utilizing spa services, particularly when these amenities are integrated into the accommodation package at the Dimyat hotel. BTA also highlighted its feature, “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water,” which covers over 200 certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centers across Bulgaria.
This initiative is connected to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena, with BTA serving as the main media partner.
