The Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its renovated thermal zone, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova. Atanasova confirmed that the facility underwent comprehensive upgrades, including replacements of the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. She noted a significant rise in demand for wellness services since the pandemic, stating that interest is now evident among Bulgarian residents as well as international guests.
In response to this increased patronage, the centre has extended its opening hours to begin at 7 a.m. To accommodate local demand, water aerobics classes have resumed, with the first sessions commencing at 7:30 a.m. The hotel’s saunas and fitness facilities continue to attract a steady number of visitors, while the relaxation area and adventure showers are also frequently utilized by guests.
Atanasova highlighted that the growing interest in preventive care reflects a broader public awareness regarding overall health. Furthermore, business travelers are increasingly incorporating spa services into their stay, particularly when these amenities are bundled with the accommodation price. While the centre features an ice fountain, maintenance for this element has reportedly become challenging due to limitations in flake ice generator production.
Beyond the hotel’s operations, the broader health tourism sector is highlighted by BTA’s feature, “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water,” which documents over 200 certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centres across Bulgaria. This initiative is connected to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, a major European health tourism event scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena.
