Athletes Win Three Medals at 24th Bergen Open Diving Competition

Bulgarian divers achieved notable success at the 24th Bergen Open Diving Competition, securing a total of two gold and one silver medal. The international event hosted from April 30 to May 3 saw participation from 236 athletes representing 18 different countries. Individual performances highlighted the nation’s strength across various disciplines.

Kris Yordanov was a standout competitor, winning two titles within the 12-13 age group, specifically in both the 3-metre springboard and platform events. Additionally, he secured fourth place on the platform in the junior age category. Another key performer was Iva Ereminova, who won a silver medal in the senior girls’ category on the 1-metre springboard.

Ereminova also placed sixth in the 3-metre springboard event. These results demonstrate the depth of talent within the Bulgarian diving program. The competition provided a platform for athletes to compete across different heights and distances, with achievements recorded on both the 1-metre and 3-metre springboard apparatus.

The medals won underscore the dedication and skill displayed by the Bulgarian contingent at the competition.
