Lucky Bansko Aparthotel SPA & Relax recently received two awards for 2026 in the category of retreat tourism, according to the resort. These accolades came from the Spring Travel Soare forum, an event organized by Travel & LifeStyle Magazine with support from the Tourism Ministry. The awards recognized the establishment as a top 50 best retreat destination and awarded first place for the best retreat destination in Bulgaria for 2026.
The resort’s spa center is designed as a next-generation facility emphasizing holistic recovery and personalized guest care, stated the complex’s executive director, Assoc. Prof. Asya Pandzherova.
Detox programs offered at the spa include hydro-massage baths with therapeutic extracts, hammam rituals, Rasul therapies using mineral mud and clay, and water bed applications with healing ingredients. The spa amenities feature bio-pools with underwater music, a Dead Sea salt pool, a jacuzzi, and hydro-massage facilities. During the summer, two outdoor pools are available for both children and adults.
For wellness treatments, the thermal zone provides Finnish and infrared saunas, a steam bath, and a salt room for halotherapy. An innovative offering is the cryosauna, which exposes the body to temperatures as low as minus 160 degrees Celsius to stimulate recovery and vitality. The spa also provides hydrocolon therapy administered by medical specialists, alongside various facial and body treatments ranging from aromatherapy to anti-aging programs.
For younger guests, specially adapted facilities are available, including a heated pool purified via ultrasound and electrolysis. The combination of services positions the spa as a core competitive advantage for the resort’s weight loss, detox, and anti-stress programs in Bansko.
