Bulgarian Tourists Choose Ismena SPA Complex in Devin

Outdoor thermal soaking pools filled with hot mineral water represent a key feature at the Ismena SPA Complex, according to manager Polina Boneva. These facilities are noted as the first and only open-air mineral soaking pools in Devin, operating year-round and drawing significant visitor interest. The complex functions as a four-season destination, blending modern architectural designs with traditional Rhodope Revival aesthetics, complemented by various spa pools and rejuvenating treatments utilizing healing mineral water sourced from the Bedenski spring.

Boneva stated that Bulgarian tourists form the majority of guests, attracted by the tranquility of the Rhodope Mountains and the mineral waters. International visitors primarily originate from Germany, Israel, Russia, and the United Kingdom. Water-based therapies are highly popular for recovery and relaxation.

The mineral water’s alkaline properties are beneficial for skin cleansing, regeneration, and detoxification. Treatments are particularly recommended for individuals with sedentary jobs or past injuries, as the heat and mineral composition relax muscles and improve mobility without straining the heart. Spanning 17 decares, the Ismena complex includes a hotel section, 15 guesthouses, and landscaped park areas.

The spa center features indoor and outdoor pools, alongside a sauna, steam bath, Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, and aromatic baths. Even in winter, guests can utilize the contrast therapy in a 5°C shock pool, which is noted to provide a refreshing effect and improve circulation after sauna use. The spa menu also offers diverse options, including volcanic stone massage and restorative magnesium massage.
