Centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel Develops New Anti-stress Programmes

The spa centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort near Varna on the Black Sea, is developing new anti-stress programmes, according to spa manager Nikolay Popov. These services are primarily utilized by working individuals seeking mental recovery, with the programmes designed to reduce chronic stress levels.

Popov noted that the fast pace of modern life contributes to accumulated mental tension, which, combined with a lack of physical activity, can lead to degenerative physical processes. The spa centre’s offerings appeal to a broad demographic. Even young professionals, who face significant pressure in competitive environments, are seeking anti-stress therapies.

The programmes are customized to ensure guests can maintain their wellness routines after their stay. Mineral water, a key component, is beneficial for tension reduction as skin receptors signal the central nervous system to relax, thereby slowing heart rate and decreasing blood pressure. Furthermore, since the end of 2025, Ensana Aquahouse has introduced a specialized underwater kinesitherapy programme.

This service aims to restore physical function for individuals recovering from surgery, joint replacement, or those with neurodegenerative or temporary mobility issues. A kinesitherapist guides and supports the movements during these sessions. BTA reports on certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” feature, which features over 200 establishments.

This initiative is connected to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in several Bulgarian locations, with BTA serving as the main media partner.
