The Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its renovated thermal zone, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova. Atanasova reported that the facility underwent comprehensive upgrades, including replacements of the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. She noted a significant rise in demand for wellness services since the pandemic, attracting not only international visitors but also a growing number of local Bulgarian guests.
In response to this increased interest, the center has extended its opening hours to begin at 7 a.m. Water aerobics classes have resumed at 7:30 a.m., drawing many local residents before their workday. The hotel’s saunas and fitness amenities continue to see consistent use, alongside the relaxation area and adventure showers.
Atanasova highlighted that the trend reflects a broader societal shift toward prioritizing preventive healthcare. This heightened awareness is also impacting the business travel sector, where spa services are increasingly utilized, particularly when included in accommodation packages. BTA is currently featuring certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centers across Bulgaria in its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” segment, listing over 200 such establishments.
This initiative is connected to Europe’s major health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, across Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena, with BTA serving as the main media partner for the event.
