Emergency services responded to the incident, evacuating 36 residents, including two children, from the affected area. The repercussions of the overnight assault included significant damage to residential infrastructure.
Reports indicate that at least three residential buildings sustained major structural damage, with facades destroyed and numerous windows shattered. Authorities confirmed that all relevant services are currently working to manage the aftermath of the incident. Separately, a merchant vessel flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which was en route to a port in Greater Odesa, sustained damage.
A fire broke out aboard the ship but was successfully extinguished by the crew, with no reported casualties from the maritime incident. The Odesa Region hosts over 150,000 Bulgarians, representing the third-largest population group in Ukraine according to the 2001 census.
Approximately 50,000 to 60,000 of these individuals reside specifically within the city of Odesa. The largest concentrations of the Bulgarian population are noted in the Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
