An overnight drone attack struck the Black Sea city of Odesa, in Southern Ukraine, resulting in two fatalities and fourteen injuries, according to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service evacuated 36 residents, including two children, from the affected areas. The repercussions of the strike were widespread, impacting both civilian infrastructure and maritime assets.

Residential areas sustained significant damage, with at least three buildings reported to have suffered structural harm, including destroyed facades and shattered windows. Additionally, a merchant vessel flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which was en route to a port in Greater Odesa, sustained damage. A fire broke out aboard the ship but was reported to have been successfully extinguished by the crew, with no casualties reported on the vessel.

Authorities stated that all relevant services are currently mobilized to manage the aftermath of the overnight assault. The information provided by the regional administration confirms the severity of the incident in Odesa. While the focus remains on the immediate humanitarian and structural damage, the area has a significant population background, with Bulgarians forming one of the largest demographic groups in the region.

However, the primary reports detail the casualty count and the extent of the damage caused by the attack on the city.
