Folk Dance Ensemble SamoDivi to Perform in Munich

The Innsbruck-based folk dance group, SamoDivi, is scheduled to participate in the 11th edition of the traveling festival, Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance. The event will take place at Munich’s BMW Park from May 15th to the 17th. This marks the third consecutive appearance for the talented ensemble, which plans to present “Zaludo Libe Kitka ne Davaydance.”

The group stated that their performance aims to convey the “sincere, vibrant emotion” that connects them regardless of their geographical location.

Preparations for the festival are reportedly underway with significant dedication; the members rehearse twice weekly while focusing on costume details. SamoDivi is characterized as a small yet cohesive ensemble, featuring dancers spanning multiple generations. For the performers, folklore transcends mere dance; it represents a deep bond, a sense of home, and a means of maintaining connection globally.

The Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance festival is dedicated to amateur folklore ensemble groups performing outside of Bulgaria. The initiative originated with the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted both the inaugural event in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025. The upcoming 11th festival in Munich anticipates participation from over 100 dance groups and an attendance of more than 4,000 guests.

The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) serves as the official media partner for the event and will feature all participating groups.
