The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final declarations from fourteen candidates who were elected across two distinct Multi-Member Constituencies (MMCs). The Deputy Chair of the CEC confirmed these decisions during a meeting on Friday, finalizing the process for determining which list these individuals will represent in the 52nd National Assembly. Previously, the CEC had reported that thirteen candidates met this criterion, with the fourteenth individual, Katya Paneva, joining the count after a list leader determined their preferred constituency.
The declarations specify the shift in representation for each individual. For instance, Alexander Georgiev Pulev chose to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora, rather than MMC 30 – Shumen. Similar adjustments were noted for Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev, who selected MMC 9 – Kardzhali over MMC 24 – Sofia; and Rumen Georgiev Radev, who opted for MMC 25 – Sofia instead of MMC 2 – Burgas.
Other confirmed changes include Boyko Metodiev Borissov moving to MMC 16 – Plovdiv from MMC 25 – Sofia, and Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev choosing MMC 24 – Sofia over MMC 29 – Haskovo. The list continues with Tomislav Peykov Donchev selecting MMC 7 – Gabrovo, and Asen Vaskov Vassilev choosing MMC 16 – Plovdiv over MMC 29 – Haskovo. The CEC further advised that the complete roster of members for the 52nd National Assembly is anticipated to be published on Saturday.
This follows the commission’s earlier announcement regarding the distribution of seats among political parties.
